I am very curious about the river that rhymes with sticky. I have looked up the catch statistics and there are a few, very few reports, catch record cards ya know. Is this river a catch and release by honor river? If so I will aby. I plan to explore it, any info would be appreciated. I have seen a few trailers parked by the bridge takeout, but have not been down the river yet. I will be fishing with a pontoon. So any advice will be valued and kept quiet. Please e-mail.

The rigs you see at the take-out are coming down the Quillayute and rowing back up to take-out. The river is loaded with a number of sweepers & logjams ... so you'd better know where you're going before you ever try floating it. Good luck!

I yousto spend some time on it. Mostly the East Fork both high and low. Anywhere from December to April can produce a fish here and there. I spent a couple days a month on it during the steelhead seasons and never had a banner day but it was worth a fish every other trip or so. I mostly fished it when other stuff was blown sometimes it paid off with a couple fish and somtimes you were skunked.

The steelhead run has been estimated at under 300 fish the past 3 or 4 years from what I heard from QNR. It sharply dropped from a consistant 1,000 and it hasnt been over 300 since. Im talking the entire Sticky system.

It is a nasty one as far as the terain goes. Lots of brush and no banks in most places.

There are a few other zippers over there that are much easier to fish....

Thanks a bunch for the info. You might have made me rethink that one.
