Declaring a fish that is hooked in the head (somewhere other than inside the mouth) to be a legal hookup is a major step backward! Chalk up another victory for the "snaggers and baggers."

on rule 27, releasing fish in the water, i think that when the season for springers on the columbia is set we will learn that only the gillnetters will benifit from it, i`d guess that we will get close to the same amount of fish as last year but with a lower esa impact number and the gillnetters will get a higher esa impact and everyone will jump for joy and not realize that we were screwed again.

Second thought. . . .

How in the hell is a disabled person who is fishing from a wheel chair, or is really handicapped going to released a "hooked fish" without first taking it out of the water?

Don't you just love these all these kind laws and rules that are being proposed?
