Revisited.....

The only day I can make this happened is the 22nd of Novemeber. I know of one other derby this day- my apologies in advance. Plus the Tengu Derby is the following day.

So far I have roughly 20 folks interested... Before I set a entry fee, would like to know who else would like to join ???

As of present, here are the rules:

1) Derby is open to public. Pass the word along at work!

2) Only fish caught within the confines of Elliott Bay are to be weighed. For this derby, Elliott Bay shall be defined as "ALL WATERS EAST OF A STRIAGHT LINE BETWEEN ALKI POINT AND WEST POINT."

3) Only Blackmouth will be eligible for derby awards.

4) Washington State Regs are applicable.

5) Fishing commences no earlier than 0700 the mornng of the derby and weigh-in is no later than 1200 (noon) at the Armeni Ramp (need a weigher- any volunteers?). Lose one pound for every minute late to the ramp.

6) Awards presentation will be at the Alki Tavern (across the street). Hoping Little Fish will chime in here...

Also looking for a few volunteers that have some connections for some extra prizes. I am in for a few of my "secret combos," a jar of my "secret scent" and a few "new" killer spoons.

Working on a way to collect fees.. more to follow...

If you need more info and/or want to sign up in the interim, email me at: Trolling4 Salmon@aol.com. Please include first and last name.

Hey DR...I called Alki Tavern several months ago to check things out, but I wasn't able to talk with the owner. It sounds like things are firming up so I will call them again and post what I learn.

JR,

I am just going to trailer the boat up. However, I imagine you could tie up at the ramp or Salty's for a few

There is no moorage at the Armeni Ramp. Depending on the tide, there is either a lot of room on the dock or barely room for two boats. I'm not sure if you can tie up for a while at the dock/deli/bait shop just to the south, but it looks like it is a public fishing area.

Just got off the phone with the guys at Alki Tavern and it sounds like it won't be any problem using their place for an awards ceremony. As the date gets closer and the head count is firmed up I'll see if there is anything they might want to contribute in the way of prizes.

Send me an adress and I will send you a couple of prizes, won't be able to fish that day. Be aware that it is apple cup game at husky stadium that day so plan your travels accordingly.

Yep! We are still going.... I have roughly 70+ folks saying they are going to make it.

Didn't have any interest here, so I pursued other avenues..

If you folks are interested in the derby, email me: trolling4salmon@aol.com..

Looks like the weather is going to cooperate for Saturday too. Sunny but cold.
