I fish Hoodsport once a year just to remind myself how crowded a fishing spot can get. Afterwards when I fish my normal spots and see a few fisherman there I don't get upset at all. The folks that complain about seeing a few fishermen on their favorite "zipper" would feel less stress if they spent a Saturday at Hoodsport.

The few times I've fished Hoodsport I've done the corky and yarn thing. I tried several colors, chartruse, cerise, green, green/chartruseand usually foul hooked more than fare. Finally I tried the green luminous corkie and caught almost every fish in the mouth. I've tried the green luninous a couple times on different years and had the same results, fish in the mouth on almost every cast.

Funny Hoodsport story - last time I was there a guy was playing a fish, about half way in the hook flies out of the fish, over his head and lands in the holding tank behing the fence. While trying to reel in his line he hooks a fish in the holding tank!!! You should have seen the look on his face like "really I wasn't trying to do this!!"
