I fished Camano Head on Saturday. To my dismay, there were nets staged at various locations and I didn't even get a shaker....Any other reports?

I'm new to the Everett area and have seen your post on salmon fishing in the sound and I'm wondering if you might share any tips on the salmon fishing in 8-2.

Thanks

BR

Looks like Kingston may be the hot place to go now. I've had some success off of Camano and across from Mukilteo over by the brickyard. My most successful BM set-up is a Hotspot and a Cop Car Coyotee spoon. I try to keep one rigger on the bottom. There's a lot a great info on this site. I would try some searches.

Saturday, my fishing partner C&R'd a shaker, and on Sunday, neither of us found even that.

The boat picked up a nice-sized copper rockfish, but no blackmouth.

We were jigging #5 buzz bombs and Pt. Wilson Darts - white/black and white.

Did see a couple salmon follow our jigs up to the boat, but they looked like shakers as well.

Both days we were fishing first light, probably should have waited and fished high tide.
