Does anybody have any info they can share on running a jet on the Chehalis? Is it kosher? Are there any places that are difficult? Any recommendations for boat ramps? How is the clarity?
Thanks in advance Twig

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

In the vicinity of Monte, no sweat, but watch for submerged stumps, logs, etc. How do you watch for something submerged? Carefully, I guess. Up around the Satsop, there are some shallows that take lower units out every year. You can avoid this happening to you by keeping your eye on the tide, and using caution at low tide. The riffle just below the launch at the mouth of the Satsop can be skinny at low tide. The launch there is a piece of junk any more, too. For the most part, just keep an eye out and you'll be OK.

Dan nailed it right on the head. Monty has the stump patches and right below the satsop can be sketchy at times, but people run it all the time with props so it shouldn't be all that bad as long as you pay attention to where you are and what you're doing.

If your gonna run at low tide and full throttle..."Wear a PFD!!!" Monty has some great jumps at low tide, I know. It's always best to go down and back up on high tide.

Yep, I've run my Bayliner I/O around Monte, staying between the mill launch and Friends Landing. Haven't hit the prop yet, jet should be fine.
