#3 Blue Fox (siwash) - blue body, silver blade. With something long and dangly attached to the hook. Learned it last year and smoked em' this year.

Found a style of Mepps (literally on a log) I've never seen before that worked well before I lost it after the last high water- Size 4, solid metal body, french blade. Pink w/ green spots on the inside of the blade. Don't know the name of it or seen it in a store but its a Mepps.
It doesn't really matter to me as long as they flash, are the right size and have a siwash hook (not to mention that I'm on the cheap). Now's a good time to restock my supply at the well-known scissorbill fisheries- hanging up in trees, in the water hung up on rocks, logs and on the backs of spawned-out carcasses, usually with 50 yards of mono trailing behind.
PLease heed the advice of those postings above as my supply is pretty low! :p

I have fished spinners in the OP rivers for a long time. After many dollars spent, casts made, logs hooked, I clearly found a style and make of spinners that have out fished all others in any conditions, and on all salmon and steelhead. AGLIA #3-#4 Chrome blade,red/yellow body, or #3-#4 Green Aglia yellow body. More weight to them than Vibrax, and less line twist..

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Yeah, I've found those Aglias to be very fishy spinners myself.
I usually fish Flash Glos for silvers though. Color/size depends on river color and weather.

I am a silver and blue ltlcleo or vibrax guy myself. There used to be an older gentlmen that was a local.I used to run into him at the Iverson hole on the sol duc.He fished a garage sale pole and reel.the cheepest line he could find. The man made most of his own tackle. He hammered his own spinner blades, usually brass.Used hollow core pencil lead painted green with orange spots.Everytime I ran into him he caught a fish. ![wink wink](/forum/images/graemlins/default_dark/wink.gif)

Blue Fox----either blue, silver or chartruse bell, it Size 5.....Get some shrimp oil, cover the whole spinner................cast, if that blade stops working at all.........SET THE HOOK!!!! So many times a silver with follow, take, and keep swimming towards you............but that blade will stop working........Remember that....
Always keep a pink or orange wiggle wart, with you........mmmmm, also work very good!!!!

Has anyone had success fishing with Worden's Blue Streak? I like its concentrated weight over the Vibrax. Side note: I was rummaging through the discount bin at Sportco couple weekends ago and I managed to dig up a trophy find: Luhr Jensen Cherry Bobber

I like size 3 vibraxes or similar when the water is low and clear, 4's or 5's when it colors up. I use mostly a silver blade, and don't think the body color matters that much, as long as it's something bright. I use pink, orange, silver, and chartreuese bodies.
It's worth having a couple of small black ones with you, as well.

Now I know why I can't find any of my favorite lures.. I agree with "smaller lure in low clear (#3), and 4's and 5's in colored, higher water" theory. Also the Flash-glo's. Try modifying the Vibrax lures by attaching a SHORT chain to the lure with a good siwash on the end-seems to hook them a little better. And we all know presentation counts. Gotta put the lure down where they are!
