Fished the racetrack and other northern spots yesterday. Lots of bait on racetrack, had two nice fish from there early and then it died. Also getting fish at Baby Island but the seals are thick up there. Fished Possession last Weds and it was dead, did good at PT no Pt though. Tides have been pretty crappy lately. Not much flow on the ebb this past week.

Fished Elger Bay Friday with a bud and got two beauties, 12 and 15 pounds, released a 5-pounder and saw a couple others caught. Lots of bait, birds and a couple seals, but they didn't bother us. Now for something completely different, fished Terminal 86 fishing pier on Elliott Bay Thursday night and the squid were coming in hand over fist. Got about 40 of them before I had to go. Also, saw a couple salmon chasing the squid around. Great fun.

Fished Camano Head on Saturday afternoon. The weather made it difficult fishing and didn't get any keepers.

fished Possession on Saturday. Had 5 keepers on but lost 2. One was maybe 20+.
it was real hot early and then died after noon. We had three nice 8#'rs. FIsh checker said she only saw 3 others caught when we came in at Everett at 3pm. Not many boats and pretty rough. We only saw 2 other boats out there. Most were staying north of Possession point near Mukilteo - I presume to stay out of the weather - should've braved it cause it was worth it!!

Fished 100-120 feet of water with gear down 90-100 feet.

All the blackmouth I'm getting are right on the bottom with the downrigger balls digging dirt from time to time. 95% of the blackmouth I catch is within 10 to 15' of the bottom. Last week we were fishing in 130 to 140' of water and were letting the downriggers out to 150 to 160' to hit bottom. I will generally fish water from 90 to 170' deep and find fish at those depths.

we fished 100-175 feet of water mostly trying to stay in 125 but the wind was pushing us. We hammered em at 82, 92, 102 - most were at about the 130 level for the bottom.
