I will be driving up to the Seattle area from Portland and will have a couple of hours to burn. Are there any fishing stores of you could recommend I check out that are close to I-5 and might offer a different selection of gear then what I can get down here?

I would check out Outdoor Emporium. Located in downtown Seattle. 420 Pontius Ave. N, 98109

You have to stop at Sportco in Fife. It's a really big store and you may spot the amazing Herzog behind the counter.

Wait until you return, and go to Fisherman's Marine. Better selection, same prices, and no taxes.

If you just want to shop, Sportco in Fife is easy to get to, and Outdoor Emporium is pretty good. But it's all the same stuff.

AuntyM: Are you telling me you don't like to shop? God, you may be the perfect woman. You love to fish, dont like to shop, are obviously smart. Do you cook breakfast? Do you have a boat?

AuntyM: I have the world's best wife, but if I didnt, I would be thinking of someone just like you. Of course, I might want to see a picture of your boat!

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Does she cook breakfast? Is a frog's ass watertight?

She makes biscuits and gravy that are damn near worth missing the fishing for. thumbs

Yeah........maybe I should fuzz out the face so some pissed-off conservative doesn't throw me in the river some day. wink

Yeah, maybe...........but nobody has ever come up to me on a river and said "Are you Dan S. ?" Maybe it's just because I give off a bad vibe?

Still, there are lots of conservative scallywags out there that haven't fished with me............and some of them probably think I really AM a commie pinko liberal. But hey, I had a great time fishing with Timberman, my new-found conservative friend, and we didn't want to toss each other in or anything (good for me too.........can you imagine tryin' to toss TM? laugh )

Anyway..........back to the thread. I do most of my shopping at Sportco, but usually online. I go in once in a while to BS with Zog, but it's way easier to point and click than it is to drive to Tacoma.
