Anybody know how the Nooch looks? Will it hold up to the rain.

It was 1800 cfs this morning and about 20" visibility and down to 1600 cfs tonight. Not perfect, but it's a lot better than it's been for the last month and a half. If this rain doesn't pop it back up, it could be OK for the weekend. Check the gage in the morning; that'll tell you what you need to know.

Sincerely,

Salmo g.

Definitely fishable, just haven't heard much about any numbers of fish actually being caught yet. Plunkers on the Chehalis have yet to have a glory day.

Does anybody know if the big alder tree below the flat on car body hole has been cut out, or is the water level such that it makes it easy to navigate around?

I fished it with DogFish last sunday the river was hgh 2600 and very colored. We did not notice any dangerous trees or sweepers. But the high water can be decieving. There was a bunch of wood in the river. Be careful. Oh, we didn't touch a fish

It was less than 1600 cfs today and about 3' visibility, the most fishable it's been since October. I talked to people in two drift boats and they had 3 and 4 fish respectively. Others hadn't had a touch. I caught a pair of steelhead jacks in two different pools. Not a winning hand, but I could have placed a bet. But then, I would have lost. I saw a chrome hen of about 10 or 11 pounds swimming upstream just past my feet. Maybe I should bait my boot laces and then I'd get a bite.

Sincerely,

Salmo g.
