Some years ago, you could drive to the forks hole below the Calawah on the Bogachiel. Can you still do this?

You cannot go all the way to the bar as we did years ago, but you can get close.

Bring your hiking boots though as you will have some distance to walk from an open parking spot if you plan on coming out in the next week. Extremely busy with boats and bankies ... the week after Christmas is ALWAYS the busiest week of the year in the area. Would not be surprised to see boat counts over 100 (I think 121 was the highest they've ever viewed from the copter) from the hatchery down this week-end.

the trails on in to the forks hole are just big sloppy mud holes, so be prepared to slip and slide your way into the rivers
