Anybody that is driving to the West End tomorrow, I would say to use extreme caution and good sense driving, even with a four-wheel drive. Roads where the nastiest Ive seen in a long time. Dont know if it is going to warm up or not, but trying to maybe save someones family heartache.

Matt
Thanks for the heads up and watching our six.
Maybe we can still hook up before you're outta here.
Hope you're feeling better too.

Saturday a.m.
I just couldn't do it. I said "go. If it's not too crowded we can both go tomorrow. Besides, it's supposed to snow".
>>2<< hours later, he calls to say that the roads are a 30-40 mph road trip and solid ice the whole way.
The "parking lot" currently extends all the way up the sides of the smolt ponds.
smile And it's dumping mixed rain/snow. smile
He hadn't even gotten parked yet, and boats were leaving. Haven't heard the "why" on that yet.
Yup. Ya gots to be nutz to be a steelheader beathead

How is traffic getting up and down that road with rigs parked on it? There's hardly enough room to get 2 way traffic through there as it is. Must be a ZOO eek .
Hope it clears out during the week.
Ya right. rolleyes

Clarification, Mooch....
He said the parking was extending out, beyond the ponds, because the lot was full.

Diana,
Wow, that's like halfway back to town isn't it? wink
Reminds me of some of the old lake openers.
Every year I say "never again" to floating the Bogey over the holidays, but then my finger starts to twitch like Frodo's as he tried to give up his "Precious".

Matt,
Looks like I've been assigned to get a couple of little dudes into their first steelhead this week. Won't know my schedg' till tomorrow but definately Monday's out. I'll PM you with details. Hope Santa was good to you and your lady. ho
