Fished the S end of Allen Bank and Southworth point today from abot 10:00-1:00. Decided to sleep in today and hit the water about high tide. Caught one fish that was 20" and a couple smaller shakers. The wind was blowing and the water started to reallt get bumpy so I pulled up and headed home. Saw the gammies dropping crab pots off Manchester. Also told a guy trolling out in front of Manchester that he was either a little late or a little early. He headed off north probably to fish somewhere else in area 10. Thats about it for excitement today. Now its time to hang some Christmas lights for the wiffey.

Thanks for the report wulybgr. I haven't heard anything good from area 11 this BM season. The Times fish count was really bad for area 11 last week. I did really well the last two weeks in area 9 so I'm hoping those fish will move further south the next couple weeks. I will be fishing southworth tuesday or wednesday so will post report at that time.

I do understand that the desciption of the northern limits of area 11 is (somewhat sketchy) the southern end of Allen bank is definately in area 10.

Yeah blackmuth you're right. I checked out salmon university and I guess where I was would be more Dolphin Point. I watched very carefully where I was in relation to the boundary. I was wrong about my description, but was ok ehre I was fishing. Sorry if I mislead anyone.

During a check a couple of years ago I specifically asked the enforcement agents about Allen Bank and the boundary for 10/11. Thier response was "to close to call so we let it go." I'm sure every enforcement agent is different. I worry more about the Southworth boundary, thats one of my favorite fishing holes and it's hard not to cross the boundary line when the bait stacks up 100 yards north of the ferry landing.

Blackmouth - No sweat. How I described it would have out me in the wrong.

It gets really tough to tell where the boundry is when you are out away from the Southworth ferry dock. I commute on the ferry and during the early summer you see lots of boats strung out towards Blake. I can't imagine all of those guys fishing for Silvers - but who am I to say. There is a really nice hole just north of the ferry dock where alot of migrating fish stack up, both silvers and kings. It is clearly north of the ferry though - no doubt about it.

The person that I warned that the area was closed was fishing between Yukon Harbor and the launch. They were about a mile north of the border.
