Somehow, I ended up with a roofing nail through the sidewall of my trailer tire today, at the ramp in Fall City. It's halfway up the sidewall, and wasn't there when I left my house thise morning. Thank god it didn't flatten the tire, and we noticed it before I hit the road.

To whomever might have thought it humorous to spike a trailer tire, consider this. If I hadn't noticed your vandalism, the tire might have blown on the freeway, caused an accident, and you could have been the cause of someone getting hurt or killed. Was it worth it?

Is it really true that Paris is your cousin? What is she really like?

Any idea what prompted the vandalism?

Did you park in a funky spot or something?

Nope, I try to be as courteous as they come as far as ramp manners and parking goes. There were some other yahoos parked in the turnaround, and they didn't get touched. The lot was full, so I was out on the road, all the way off on the shoulder, surrounded by other rigs.

I have a sled, but none of the other sled trailers that put in there got touched that I could see. There were bigger rigs than mine, so I don't think it was because I was the Hummer of the water. No one was around when we put in, either.

I reported it to the sheriff, and they said that they drive by there fairly regularly, now, so we'll see what happens.

are you sure it was placed there or did you run it over on your way to the ramp.

My next door neighbor is a King County Sheriff that patrols the Fall City area. I asked him about this today, and he was pretty sure that it may have been done by the ‘tweakers’ from the campground next door ‘just for fun’. They seem to have a bunch of problems over there at that camp ground.

Thats too bad SH. The guy in the green pick up would have got nailed for blocking the turn around if it was someone fishing. My bet it was the local scum that use that area for parties and geting high. They are usually under the bridge when it rains.

I was there Friday afternoon taking out. The Shariff did do a drive by while I was organizing the boat so maybe there is a problem. Great beathead ! I treat boat launches the same way I treat trailheads. They are just sort of a hangout for lowlifes. I leave nothing in my truck but, of course, that don't help against random vandalism. Sorry to hear about the nail.

Yup. It was pounded into the sidewall. Not the tread.

Brood, I suspect (hope) the sheriff was doing a driveby due to my reporting the incident. They said they'd be out there.

I took out at Fall City on Sat and while I was there, I saw a truck turn around that had a lot of ladders. I'm guessing that it might be a roofer that lost a stray nail. Of course, no way to know for sure. He didn't get out, btw, he just turned around.

if it had alot of ladders it was probably a painter or sider. i am a roofer and i sure hope i didnt have any fall out of my rig, cuz i fish there alot. that sucks and it was probably the tweakers. good to hear about the cops increasing patrol though.

although the cops arent to observant on their drive thru's....
one night a few summers ago. i pulled in with some friends to get out turn around rig and king county police followed us into the boat launch. the cop got out and asked what we are doing.,... i was just kidding and said 'just gettin rid of a couple dead hookers" and the cop said "ok then ....just making sure" and left

I'd wait in the bushes for a few hours and catch em.
Bloodying up their faces would feel as good as landing a 20.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune Silver...this is the guy in the driftboat that anchored a couple of days with you last year at the mouth of the Kalama for springers. Hey missed you this year down there!

There is always going to be a few weirdos around, seems we can't avoid them. Hope things are going well otherwise.

That's ridiculous SH. Unreal what some people feel is ok to do to other peoples' posessions.

IM me on how you did fishing.
