Join us for a presentation on fishing for Peacock Bass in the Amazon by Northwest outdoor writer and photographer Dave Vedder . Dave will speak at the Northshore Chapter of Trout Unlimited meeting on Tuesday, January 6 at 7:30pm at the American legion hall. Northshore TU meetings are the First Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM at the American legion hall in Bothell. They are open to the public and we welcome everyone to come. Trout Unlimited’s mission is to conserve, protect and restore North America’s trout and salmon fisheries and their watersheds. Trout Unlimited has over 125,000 volunteers in 500 chapters nationwide. The Northshore chapter currently has two ongoing conservation projects and hosts two kids fishing events each year.

Just out of curiosity, who did you fish with on the lake? Was it a guided trip?

It was a guided trip on Gatan Lake (the lake between both sets of the locks of the canal. I'm in the Navy and our ship pulled in to Panama City. The trip was only $80. We used very light tackle and minnows.
