You can buy a variety of soft plastic lures that are shaped much like the old Okies. Lure Jensen's Gooey Bob is about the same size and shape, with a good variety of colors. I like the B.C. Orange.

I'm down to my last 18 pink pearls. Guess I'll have to start hitting the estate/garage sales again.

Just responded to your post in the classifieds.

Yes, they haven't been made in a few years, the good ones not in quite a few years. You can still buy the foam injected ones (which I hate, only like the hard two piece plastic ones). You can get them (well, they had them up to a few months ago) Narrows Marina in Tacoma and Barrier Tackle Shop on the Cow. Both had them up until recently. Funny though, Luhr Jensen must have a TON of them stocked up somewhere. I've noticed that they keep producing those walleye spinners, which contain a foam injected okie in them. So must have alot stashed.

I dug through some of the stuff I don't use and found some oakies, spin n glows (some used) and a small assortment of other things. If they appeal to you, I'll trade for some corkies, the smaller, the better. One for one for the oakies and two for one on the spin n glows. First come first served.... pownalls@direcway.com beer

Well, the original hard okie was made by Maxwell (Grizzly) and Luhr Jensen had their Egg Drifter which was knockoff (but almost identicle). Then, not sure if LJ bought the rights, or what happened. But then LJ made the hard okies. Then, to lower costs I assume, they went to the foam injected okies. I still have okies made by Grizzly in the original package, and the egg drifters in original packages. Then, have some of the hard "LJ Okies" in packages. Miss the old ones. Just too labor intensive to produce.

WOW F5A!

Those clown Okies sure bring back a lot of memories. One of my favorites drift fishing for spring kings as a kid at Ninilchik, Deep Creek, and Anchor River.... I once had a stockpile just as big.

The foam injected are ones made by Luhr Jensen. The hard ones that say "okie" are the original Grizzly ones. The egg drifters by Luhr Jensen only came in clear (Grizzly had ones like it too, I always wondered if Grizzly made them for LJ).

Yup fishnphysician, those huge clown okies used to be the ticket. I think they were only time I used okies for salmon. Rest of time I only used for steelhead.

I will say this. I have a big stockpile of them. Only because I want a supply of them for fishing. But, I actually FISH them. Have two boxes on hand. One full of foam injected (actually, all the foam ones I have) and one full of hard piecers (tip of iceberg). Those in box are my fishing okies. Once they get low, I restock. But like having a supply on hand. And NO, I'm not selling any, so don't ask. LOL. Seems like everytime I post I have okies, I get 30 emails to sell a dozen or two. But you want the hard two piecers. They say "okie" on the top. I buy them whenver I can. Well, if they aren't at "hiway robbery" prices. Some guys try to sell for $0.75 each. Haven't paid more then $0.30 each for mine. That's MAX.
