speaking for myself I would'nt include myself in the catagory of a fan. I would much rather be fishing than watching football if not fishing I will watch football but only if the teams involved are playing quality football. Some of you recliner land quarterbacks take this stuff to seriously it is a game. Oh and by the way my closet has to much fishing gear in it for me to be in there.

Tornado ,you are the typical blind Seattle fan. Are they Hawks good-a little better than the average NFL team. As stated before,being a playoff team their 04 schedule won't be as soft as 03. 8-8,9-7 at best. No playoffs

I grew up a Green Bay Packer fan and stuck with them until they won the Super Bowl. I'm now a Seahawks fan. The Seahawks are one "Reggie White" away from a Superbowl. Their offense is set and if they can find a defensive leader, they will be in the Superbowl within three years. Possibly next year!

Now to all you bandwagon jumpers... Get on board. The more the merrier. I myself take pride in being a bandwagon jumper, especially at the pro level. They are professional players, paid a ton of money to win. They are all in it for themselves, and I will spend my money to support them only when they do what they are paid to do! WIN!

Sorry, but every dropped pass is an important one. Their receivers are at best inconsistent. That would be fine if the were great blockers....but they're average there too. Bottom line, in the west coast offense, you better consistently catch the ball. You are right about Alexander though, his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield helps. I think he gives up on the play and tries to cut back too much though. Its easy for a good team to defend cutback runners though. They simply assign backside players cutback lanes to fill. Green bay did a nice job with that. They'll be looking for a clutch receiver in the offseason.

While I do not watch them for the most part I do listen to radio and read about them. Seems to me the difference in the season was not the offense as much as the defenses ability to defend the deep pass. I can think of 3 games they lost because of this, the Ravens being a big one. The 4th would be the playoff game. the last drive by GB was all but done until the gave up a 35 yd pass. They hold on that play and the game was theirs.

Defense wins Championships. They need a spanking defense that the oppositon fears and thier offense will be fine .
think back on the best Hawk, Huskie and Cougar teams. They had bodacious defenses with big hitters. I saw a clip of Freddy Young the Hawk LB in the Early 80's the other day. He left because of Bosworth the Hawks have never been the same. When some one came into his area the knew it was going to hurt. 19 years is a long time.

The Seahawks battled pretty good. It's hard for a young team to advance without prior playoff experience. Sure next year is a tougher schedule but hopefully they will now have that "intangible" - experience to help them. The Pack meanwhile will need to move it up a notch for the game with Philly. It sure is fun to watch Brett gunsling that football around. Go Pack!

well, yet again, im a dollar short and a day late, but id say, what the hawks need is a few cortez' kennedy's on defense who are aggressive and rush the passer, and like someone mentioned, a really strong performing running back who can punch it up the middle...the hawks can have a good passing game, and then they have a bad run game the same day, its not consistant, they need more consitancy, and a more aggressive defense, and damn those dropped balls.. mike needs to say..you want your job as a receiver, you better show me you can catch them balls.. its literally, losin them the games..

I'd most definitely agree the defense is suspect..... They show flashes of being very good. I'm defensive minded as a coach, and love the feeling of knowing that no matter where I give the other team the ball, they cant do anything with it.... it give me goosebumps. BUT, the defense played well enough to win that game. We are talking about Bret Favre playing a playoff game at home. Koran Robinson doesnt drop that pass... no overtime, and off to philly. Maybe next year they become a dominating defense, and potent offense. I think even with a tougher schedule, they'll be a playoff team next year

I played 13 years of football total. Just finished my senior season of college football as an all-conference center two years in a row. I'm also an avid fan, and I support the local team regardless of their record and I'm expecially exited about the young and talented team that Holmgren has put together.

I would agree that the defense is the weak link. Too many big plays, especially on third down. But I believe those big plays are a product of youth and mental inexperience with the pro game, not a lack of talent.
