i fished the kalama today and it was a little high and had a little green color. It probaly was only about 2 foot vis. I cought one 14 inch trout. no other hook ups. I saw one boat hook into a eight pound steelie. I put in a the red barn and fished that upper section hard even loosing a anchor and rope to one hole trying to get the good spot for nothing. I heard a couple of people that i talked to on the river say that in the last few days that it was great even one guy saying that he hooked a 19 lb steelie two days ago even though it was native. I also talked to a guide that hook into two natives today with clients. water should get better with a day or two of no rain. looking for other water with more promise of every cast a fish. arn't we all have fun

CB, what time did you launch at the red barn? If you happened to see three bank anglers there, one of them was me. Saw a guy launch his boat there but didn't know who he was. I fish the red barn and beginner's hole with no success.

CB, I was the younger man. I am 15 years old, and I would have stopped and talked to you if I knew that you used this board. So you were the one fishing with your buddy from the anchored aluminum driftboat on the far bank of the Red Barn hole?

I guess that people of the site should get some kind of sticker or other device to let other members know your one of them. Keep the rod up.
