My eyes just aren't what they used to be when it comes to seeing my line in low light conditions. I have tried numerous high vis lines over the years, and haven't found one that I would recommend.

Here's what I wish some manufacturer would come up with. How about a mono line that has a one foot long high vis section about every six to ten feet apart? That would allow a clear section of line to be easily tied to either the leader swivel or terminal gear, and yet allow the angler to track the line. I'm not sure how mono is made, but I suspect it is extruded in a long continuous strand. Any idea if a dye could be used (sprayed?) on the line at intervals? Just an idea. what

On the subject of old eyes, this is what I've been wearing on the boat:

six eyes

With these, I have my shades plus I can see to tie knots.

Plus, the hot chicks really dig them.

Hey Slabquest, Maybe your eyes have gotten to the point that you think they are hot chicks!
Just kidding! My eyes are also in the same shape and require glasses along with hi-vis mono.
I use Ande Hi-Vis mono and blood knot a 3'-4' section of green premium to it for stealth.
I think it works anyway?
Really sucks getting old!

My "older" man uses that big green line. He says it's better for drifting but I think it's just for the eyes!

Just a thought....

How about going in for an eye exam?
