I was told by a friend of mine that sleds were going to be outlawed on the Wynootchee and Satsop. Has anyone else heard this rumor?

Don't listen to that friend again........Sorry you have to work.......but I will offer to do the fishing for you.

You shouldn't be worried about these rivers down here.....you have your own, just north of you and all those great rivers that flow into the canel. The canel that your can't fish cause of "problems".

I expect this "ban" might come up again???? A more better approach would be to have the County, WDF, and a few others, if this is really a problem, sit down during the the next 18 months and work on a solution. The proposal was completely crazy.

Maybe a take a page from that famous river in Alaska.......limit boat size and limit hp size!!!!

nahh never fished the Nooch but i have the sop a bit and although my first choice would be to get rid of all motors that would be selfish and unfair.. We need to outlaw people being rude idiots but umm how do you do that?

I do worry about those rivers(to tell you the truth I am worried about every Washington river) because I fish them more than any others for steelhead (from the bank or drift boat). I live only about 45 minutes from good fishing water on the satsop and 1 hr 20 minutes from my favorite stretch on the Nootch. There are no great rivers on the Canal anymore. There is the Skoke but it is far from great unless you are talking about salmon then there is some really good combat fishing which I really don't care to participate in. Thank god I know some other prime areas and can avoid the crowds.
