So, uh, how much are we talking here?
Email TH for a quote, but you are looking at something in the $300-$350 range for the Sage GSH III 290, depending on what want, or don't want. As always, prices may vary, so get a quote from TH. Don't tell him Parker sent you, as it won't do you any good, and I don't get any kickbacks from TH!

How does that Sage compare in weight to a IMX?
Off hand, I do not know the graphite modulus that Sage uses for the GSH III rods. I don't think it's as light, or as high a modulus as the IMX stuff.
TH - do you know the anwer to this question? I suppose I could see if that info is either on the Sage or Loomis web sites.
I haven't really weighed the two rods, but I'd say the IMX 1025 is lighter than the GSH III 290. Not really enough to tell, though. Not a night/day kinda difference. Sensitivity wise, I'd still go with the IMX 1025, as you can feel EVERTYTHING on that rod. That being said, the over all components and craftsmanship on the TH rod is an a whole different league than the same priced IMX. I will never buy another Loomis rod again until they drastically improve their rods. Their components suck, compared to what TH can offer. Their craftsmanship sucks, compared to what TH can offer.
Unless you can get rods at a guide price, or discounted somewhay else, I'd tell anyone to just get a TH rod. If you don't want super high end, go with a Rainshadow. If you want super high end, go with Sage. If you gotta have that IMX, have TH get an IMX blank and let him make it 1000X better than what Loomis can offer you.
