Wow an 8 seed!

More respect that I thought they would get. The UAB should be an interesting match up for them. Similar sized teams that like to get up and down the floor. Huskies might have better balance and the Huskies have the edge at the free throw line. They both shot the 3 about the same while UAB has been able to force more turn overs.

If they should get by UAB they would need their best effort to play with Kentucky though they have the speed to play with them if they show some maturity and make some good decisions (tough for a young team).

I too was quite surprised by the seed they got

As much as I would like to see them get deep in the tourney, I think it's certainly too much to expect of them.

Lots of young players though, they MAY have some better success down the road.

Congrats to the team, lots of down years in the Dawg BBall program, happy to see some bright spots!

And even if they do not make it far in the tourney, given the youth of the team (4 sophs and 1 Junior in the starting 5), the future is very bright!

Although, last time I around, they went deep into the tourney and just barely lost to UConn and a trip to the Final Four (or was it the Final 8?).

Fun team to watch. Evryone is saying they are the team no top seed wanted to play in the first round. They play solid team ball and can hold their own with any team. if they get a few breaks they could move on.

Great job by coach Romar keeping those guys focused after a tough early part of the season. The future looks bright for the BBall program.
