Last year I took some friends and family to Westport for a little bottom fishing in May. We limited on rockfish and likely would have limited on lings too had most of us not been seasick and voted to go in a bit early. Kudos to the folks at Deep Sea Charters by the way--we didn't even have the regular skipper and still were in the fish thick.

My question is whether there's a better time to go out when the seas won't be so bumpy. Perhaps wait till June? Or is that just Westport?
