Made a long one day trip down to the longview area with Dangerous Dave on Saturday for a shot at a Springer. Got a nice bright 15lber trolling the outgoing tide about 7:20am, had high hopes that it was going to be a good day, but that wound up being it. One of our other friends picked up a nice 18lber on the first troll of the morning (about 6:20am). Both fish were caught on whole herring in herring hoods. The wind started picking up about noon, so we headed off the river about 12:30. Not a great day but there will be fresh Springer on the grill tonight

I can barely see your boat in the avatar but I'm pretty sure I saw you out there yesterday what does it say on the side of your boat?..Sea Lions got way more salmon than the fishermen....38 degrees out there this morning and foggy....then sun came out and 68 degrees when we had to leave....

Our first trip this year was a good one. 2 keepers Friday, one keeper Saturday and one lost, and nada on Sunday. Thanks to glowball and RapidRobert for keeping me "in touch" with the action.

Sand Island was dead.

We saw two fish in the morning Sunday and 3 in the afternoon. Of the three in the afternoon, one was an unassisted Sea Lion. I didn't know that those fat bass turds could catch a fish on there own! Of the others, they were both Anchored. One was taken by a FBSL who actually came clear out of the water during the breif battle. That had to be a rush!

Nonetheless, it was a truly specatacular day!
