I am going to be fishing around the Anderson Island area on Saturday. Two questions, is there a launch near Steilacoom, and any suggestions of where to troll for blackmouth? Thanks for any information!

There is a decent launch at the end of 19th Street in Tacoma where the Day Island Marina is. There is also a pretty rough launch at Stelicoom where the Anderson Island Ferry departs from. Check out this site... http://www.iac.wa.gov/maps/presentation/...3296.835497899& ClickX=230&ClickY=196&ScreenWidth=1280&Background=&AreaType=County&Area=PIERCE&Theme=&Program=&Status=&Search=&MenuCheckList=&MenuExpanded=

As far as fishing that area I think you will be hearing from Downriggin' on this one. This area is his specialty.

Thanks for the information, and yes I hope Downriggen will get a chance to fill me in on a good troll in that area. He certainly does know his way around the south sound.

I thought there was a launch in town- I dunno.
Next best bet is Kramer's recommendation.
Do you have military bases access? There is Solo Point launch...

I'll be out off Fox Point at first light Saturday morning (5AM). If I don't hit anything there in two hours, I'll probably shoot over to Ketron Island or Green Point.

Stop by and give me a shout...

I most likely won't get out until about 9:00 or so. I'll be in a dark blue 18' Spectrum. I'm taking a lady friend so I don't know how long I'll actually get to fish. Good luck, and maybe I'll bump into you.
