We marked lots of fish S or Hat not much at the Racetrack. We didn't catch or see anyone catch any. The fish checker at Everett had see one by 11:30 when we got in.

I lucked out and caught a 14 pound fish on the West side of Possession around 11:00. He hit a green/white coyote in 100 feet of water. When we got back to the launch around 1:00, it was only the 6th fish caught out of 41 boats and the biggest. I guess it was my lucky day. Marc

Fished Whidbey shoreline and then hit the south end of hat island. A lot of bait, so we stopped and started jigging in about 75 feet of water when my fishing partner hooked into this nice 30" Chinook (hatchery)

nice fish, Jeff's partner!! I'm jealous!
We fished on Saturday, started at the bubble early, lots of other boats not one net flying that we saw. Went over to the racetrack and saw one fish landed, no bites for us, went home about noon. Marked fish and bait at Hat, Just no biters.

I'm sure Jorn would say thanks escapee.

I am jelous also, but had almost as much fun netting that fine fish as he did playing it.

This was Sunday, 4/4 - today, and I was busy getting things toghether to head back to Langley when his drag starts strippn' out.

Got to see a Grey on the way back, as did all the other guys trolling N. Hat. - Those pics didn't turn out. \:\(

Cool! I nailed 5# and 8# on Sunday. South side of Hat Island. 8:30a.m. bang! and 10:00a.m. bang! My daughter bring me great luck always. This was second trip with my daughter. Each time we nailed two beautiful fish and her fish is always bigger than mine.

Forgot to mention that we ended up catching that fish jigging a #5 buzz bomb, and the week before it was a green Pt. Wilson Dart that did the trick.

Are you guys starting to set your leader lengths for Kings now around Hat, or still blackmouth lengths?

Thanks

Hit south side of hat on Sat. am, nothing but a great day for a boat ride. I did mark quite a bit of bait, but no takers. I am fishing more at "king" leader lengths, hoping to get into an early piggy!
