I bought my first drift boat a couple of weeks ago. It is of unknown origin, 15 feet long and aluminum. It has two front seats on a lockable fish box that can be adjusted front to back. The rower’s seat is a rope design and is also adjustable. It has an anchor system with anchor and two catarack oars. So far I have floated the ben howard to lewis street run twice just to see how it rows. I have never rowed before this but I was able to put the boat where I wanted it when I want to. Now I want to drift and fish the sky from sultan down and then the upper run. Also the suak and skagit. So if and one here wants to show me the way down these rivers (only if you know the way) in the next few weeks post here. I may be looking to go to the Kalama and other rivers as the Springer’s start to kick off. I don’t work ever day during the week but I don’t know which day I have off until the night before and some times not until that morning. I paid 1200 for this set up and think I got a really good deal. The trailer needs a little welding work so if any one wants to trade welding for rowing that can be arranged too.

You had an extra space after .jpg. Nice boat, but the pic is a little hosed too. That is, it is really, really, big for the amount of content. I cropped it and uploaded it again.

I hope you aren't planning on actually fishing the Sky in the next couple weeks as its closed.

its not alumium weld and its only 6 years old. I was not wanting to fish the sky yet but would like to learn it before it opens for kings and coho. yes i have only two drifts so far but you have to start somewhere. the ben howard to lewis street is perfect for first timers. now i want to learn more rivers. i dont care if i drift closed water becouse i need to learn the rivers before i fish them.
