I love the creek. I like the sound of it. I like to look at it. I like to watch it (and the fish in it).

And I protect it from man and harmful un-natural elements as much as I am able.

Below is a portion of the evergreens I have planted. When we bought this place, there were four evergreens.... two old spruce and two young cedars. I have planted cedars, spuce, hemlock, and fir, all to enhance shade protection and bank stabilization.

So I wander down to the creek today to check out the fry (there are lots of them ) and this is what I find........

A FREAKING TIRE!!

Apparently one of my upstream neighbors or neighbors' kids really could give a crap less!! I'll have to pull out their tire and dispose of it out of my pocket, I guess......aarrgghhhh

Frickin' SLOBS!!!! You're the better man though , so just drag it out, take it to Schwab's and then have a cold one and feel good about the creek again:)!

Nice work on the creek there Fun 5. It looks great, and we will all have a little better fishing in the salt because of it.

The work that is being done on those two rainshadow creeks in your area is bound to make a noticable difference. I love going over there and seeing those late coho running up in that low water.

Keep up the good work. Makes me think that this board could stand to put together some work parties on projects like that!

At least a tire is removable. I'd be a lot more worried about pesticides or other kinds of pollution that you might not even notice.

BTW isn't this what its really all about...?

Fishermanjosh.....no, I'm not even slightly sure that the offender was a kid....I believe I said, "....neighbor OR neighbor's kid...." I think it more likely a kid-type thing, but that may not be actually the case. I'm surprised you would take offense, but I guess I could have referenced something non-specific. How about: "......some poor, misinformed person who no doubt could use some guidance, patience, and understanding....." Doesn't really have a ring to it for me, but if it does it for you, there you have it.

The tire has been removed.

And yes, gsiegel, you are absolutely correct....this IS what it is all about. Thanks for the reminder!
