Miscellaneous Fishing Tackle - $200
Olympus 35mm Camera - $120.00
Sony Digital Camera - $480.00
Army Rucksack - Priceless

Went fishing with my fishing partner at the Beginner's Fishing Hole on the Kalama River Saturday morning and while in the parking lot I noticed the driver of the late model White Dodge truck parked next to me had caught a nice 12 pound Springer (my attention was now diverted). We were parked fairly close together so I could not easily get to my truck door so I set my rucksack down near the passenger's door. Well I conversed with this fisherman about his catch for a short time and my cousin and I left for breakfast after not catching anything. Later on in the afternoon we decided to go up to the canyon for some afternoon fishing, got up there and that is when I noticed the rucksack was missing. I had a sudden onset of adrenaline and immediately tried to remember what I had done. After figuring it out, I stopped at all the tackle stores along the river and shared my loss, hoping someone had dropped off the rucksack with them. No luck, so I filed a missing items report with the County Sherriff's Office and I'm sharing this will all of you in hopes someone is kind enough to contact me. Thanks in advance and I will give a reward if you find this rucksack and contact me!

Thanks AuntyM, my fishing license was in there also, so they do have an address which will allow them to find my phone number. I'm just hoping for the best. Also, plan on getting ahold of my insurance company, might get some compensation.

Expensive lesson, could have been worse, no injuries involved - falling into river, etc.

Again, thanks for the kind thoughts!

What I have seen work time and time again is to put up a sign at the location of the lost item. The person who picked it up might fish there often.

In your situation and scenario my bet is that your stuff is gone, and that's a shame but what are you gonna do, hopefully I'm wrong. Word to the wise when you are up in that Canyon you need to watch your p's and Q's. Lot's of break ins up there, I have used to help out at Prichards and we would always get reports of people coming down from the canyon who got ripped off.

Done Sky-Guy. Also stopped at each store and let them know of my demise and filed a missing items report with the Sheriff's office. Again, thanks for the sympathy. At least I did not hurt myself or do a truck roll over or something even more regretable. Take care, Fred
