Well after 1,000 regular trout, 2,500 1 1/2 pounders and the holdovers I found last September I thought that this opener would be great for this tiny lake. Couldn't fish it on Saturday (was in Pt. Townsend for a family reunion so I had to try for SRCs instead, didn't find any) so I tried Sunday afternoon. Got to the lake about three and started to putt around in my tube (which while putting on my wadders got over pressured by the heat in the sun and tore the casing, but the tube was fine ). Say a few caught by trollers, mostly on worms and spinner combos. Then at 4:30 the bite died and from then on until eight I only say two caught. I did get one hit on a wooly bugger but lost it because I was starting my back cast and tore out the hook.

In all the lake got hammerd hard by people and the fish , thouse that where left, stopped bitting.

Hows that for sharing Josh?

I finally got my opening day pictures posted. (See the board). We were at Jameson Lake over by Mansfield, Wa. They were hitting everything from powerbait, flies, cast little flatfish to trolled wedding rings. Got a few holdovers too. It was mostly for the kids but we all had fun. Might want to check it out next year.
