Would anyone know if there is a way to cure eggs with Procure that has been already been cured with borax? I already have plenty of borax eggs but need to make some Procured eggs. Any help would be appreciated. The Duck

I have re-cured lots of eggs by washing the old borax off and re-curing with new borax but I dont know why it wouldnt work going from borax to pro cure, what I do is put my old eggs in a spaghetti strainer and wash all of the old borax off then let them drain for a little while then spread them out on some news paper and let them drain a little longer then I roll them in lots of borax put them back into freezer containers and freez them, works great.

If your looking for the red color in the egg's I'd use the pro-glow dye instead of re-curing them.I'm not a big fan of rinsing off already cured egg's but will run cold water over them when they are fresh from the fish then straight into the cure.Good luck,

I actually did this with some of my eggs this year for springers. All I did was put them in a strainer, and brushed as much of the boarax off as I could. I then added some procure tothem an let them sit over night. It seemed to take that long for them to look good. So the final result was they worked very well and caguht a couple of fish also. Good Luck
