I am stuck in a dilemma I cant wait any more til the rivers open up in my area. I am starting to get the shakes and stuff I am dreaming about fishing. There is one problem I have no idea where to go fishing if someone could possibly help me out on where to go fishing. I just want to fish. Trout isnt cutting it any more. I dont want to infringe on anybodies zipperholes but if someone could just supply with a basic area that I could get into possibly fish without combat fishing. I greatly appreciate it.

Fished from the bank on the Sandy River

bank and I dont want to by another fishing liscence

Cowlitz, Kalama or NF Lewis rivers if you want a shot at a salmon or steelhead from the bank. You don't have to combat fish, there's plenty of places to find a bit of room.

If it were me, (and it will be next week ) I'd hit the Columbia river just below Bonneville dam for some shad fishing. Tons of action and fun!

Your best bet in my opinon would be the Cowlitz or Kalama. Both have decent bank access and some steelies and springers available.

You could also look into Icicle creek or the Yakima. Not sure is they are producing springers (or if the Icicle is even open).
