I have long thought this would be a good idea.

I would also like to see this type of tracking occur on returning adult fish.

Simply seine a school of returnig Coho off the coast of Vancouver Is., tag 'em and release them, then track them on their return route to their native rivers.

I'll bet a lot of 'em end up at West Point (on the Land Side :p )

They have something like this on out bound fish at the locks.
