How well would a pontoon perform in Hood Canal? Any help would be great.

\:D would depend on what you intend to do with it for most applications a boat would be a safer way to go

I've seen guys use them at Hoodsport for chums. Seemed to be OK. I wouldn't go too far from shore. Also, be sure to give that pontoon a good cleaning afterward. You wouldn't want it to rust away on you. \:\(

When I had a Buck's Bags I used it on Port Susan once out of Kayak Point and it was fine. I just didn't go too far from shore. Keep an eye on the weather, don't go too far, watch for other boats and you should be ok.

look into a small trolling motor if you do not have one. and like all the posts above don't go to far from shore. life jackets and other normal boat gear would be a good idea definately
