Be prepared, the river is Low. Light Lines are the way to go. Got 1 springer on a blue/chrome mepps #4 with mike's sandshrimp scent. Stop in PA and get yourself some fresh shrimp for bait.

Thanks Elkman - hopefully we'll get some rain soon!

Got some rain yesterday and today but not enough to write home to mom about. Lots of fish at the Bark Hole and at the spillway just above the hatchery to about a half mile downstream. Floats and eggs with 6lb test leader have been the trick for me. I plan on fishing it tomorrow will let you know more then.

Yes there is bank access at the spill way at the hatchery and the Bark hole is at the 5 mile marker hole on the La Push Rd. Take a right on the goodman mainline and you park where the road is dug up on the left side of the goodman. It is about a 1/4 mile in. Good luck.

I grew up in Bremerton and fished the peninsula a lot. For me to drive from there takes around 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on where you're going to fish. Have done many a day trip up there.
