I am going to purchase a sonar/gps combo unit and have narrowed my search to the Lowrance LMS-335CDF. It seems like it would be the best value for the money at about $699. I am looking for feedback from people that own this unit. Also, looking for suggestions on other units.

A nice unit...quite a bit of "bang for your buck". I'm partial to the LCX 18,19, or 104C, but they're alot more money too! BTW, I sent you a "pm" too:)!

You can get the Eagle unit (which is actually Lowrance also) for about 250.00 less ...not sure if you need the Lowrance name to catch fish! get a new downrigger rod outfit on the savings...just my 2 cents ... I know there is a GPR/Sonar Eagle combo unit available -,just don't remember the model #, sorry.

Had the 350 Lowrance comb unit on the Trophy when I sold it. The GPS unit had problems .. Don't recomend a unit that is a combo when you have problems with one there both done till it's fixed..

if you are looking to save some money i have a lms 300 unit in great shape. Its out of a 1990 tide runner. I sold it on ebay for a $165. The buyer never came through.... i would be willing to sell it for that price. If you would like some more info email me at maxwellseth@hotmail.com

the lowrance unit mentioned is a color unit, I don't believe eagle has a color unit.

Richard E-
hey that unit i was talking about is at the following URL http://www.jandhproducts.com/product.asp?pf_id=Eagle_Seacharter_480DF_Fishfinder_GPS.
I put some time in to find the best unit for the best price- it's lower than Cabelas and all the others. It's a good price. $475.95 GPS/SONAR- model #480DF by Eagle.
I think Lowrance created Eagle to create a fake competitors market in which to increase the price of their name brand Lowrance units.
Kinda like a car manufacturer- Toyota & Lexus etc...same frick'en manufacturer when it all comes down to it. But in this case the units are identical to one another except the color?
