Went out with stlhdr1, parker, and Tony D. to hunt up some springers and hopefully a few summer fish too.

We wound up having a solid day, with 6 springers and two summers making it to the net. We had several more whiffs and a couple fish that came unbuttoned along the way.

Keith bagged this dandy summer fish, which I'm giong to turn into a little airshow BBQ.

There was a ton of water in there...Keith really had to work to keep the boat in good position. Great fishing with you Keith, you didi a great job running the boat.

PS: parker dredged up a wad of gear with a pink worm in it.........we think fromcutthroattosteelies has been down there scouting around. \:D

Nice fish, Keith.... really nice!

Hard to beat those fresh 3-salt summers this time of year. Went down to the Lewis 3 years ago with a colleague for his first summer steelhead trip around Mother's Day. His first fish was a solid 16# and he ended the day with a 20# summer.... biggest, brightest summer I've ever laid eyes on. Beginner spoiled for life! To this day, I don't really think the guy even realizes what a great fish he caught.

Yes that fish is mint.. Love them summer runs, we figured that fish went around 15-16 which is the 4th this year that size for us...

The biggest summer fish I've seen to date was on the lewis also, it was c and r'd by my buddy James about 4 years ago and went 20.5-21, it was a nate with sea lice.. Probably the most respectable fish I've seen to date in my life... Would have gave my left nut to catch it..

Mental Note: Don't talk smack to DanS, or the fish Gods will get pissed at you.

I hooked a nice big springer 5 seconds in to fishing (lost it in a new hidden snag) and started talking some smack to DanS. Not only did I not touch another fish the entire rest of the day, but DanS, hooked the living crap out of the fish *WHILE* using my eggs! Talk about adding some insult to injury!

Dear Fish Gods - I apologize for talking smack to DanS. He really can catch fish. ;\)

Oh well, I guess that is why they call me OPHER! 0 for 1 (and damn proud!) \:D

Here are some of the photos that I took:

Oh, no you don't parker................you can't stop talking smack on me now. I'm not sure I can land a fish without the smack flying any more. \:D

Oh, yeah...........your eggs? Top shelf, man........top shelf.

Well, the skunk was too busy stinking up parker's day to bother Tony. He put a springer in the box and crackered off a summer run. He still knows how to bait a hook, but if Keith and parker didn't donate the bait, we'd have nothing to put on a hook.......I mean you should see some of the nasty sh!t me and Tony try passing off for eggs these days. Thankfully, parker and Keith don't have that problem.......their eggs are top shelf all the way.

I'd love to hook up with you at Pt. D........you say when and I'll be there............and I probably won't turn green out there. ;\)

Thanks for donating that springer, DanS! My in-laws are thanking you, as we ate it last night.

I still can't believe I had to mooch (beg, more like) a springer off of you.....

Makes my little heart warm inside........... ;\)

I mooched eggs, you mooched a fish........I'd say we're pretty close to even.

Thanks again for letting us jig-heads mooch eggs from you guys.
