Are there campsites and a boat ramp on the Spada reservoir?

Is the road safe and smooth enough to tow a 16foot drift boat to the Spada reservoir?

When would be a good time to head up to the Spada to camp and fish?
How is the fishing at the Spada?

Appreciate any info!

There's a bunch of boat ramps. No overnight camping and the fishing sucks! Just underfed, eel-shaped, drab-colored planted rainbows. Hey, but the road's great!

took the canoe a few weeks ago and caught 3 fish casting spoons. there is camping at the far end of the lake and the road in was ok. you could launch a drift boat easly. iam thinking about mounting down riggers on mine and a electric trolling motor. this in a way under fished lake.

Acute -
FYI - As I recall Spada was lasted planted with trout in 1978 - so all the trout are at least 5 or 6 generations removed from any hatchery.

The spawning occurs in both forks of the Sultan as well as Williamson Creek (where the cutts spawn).

Spada lake is absolutely full of cutthroat. Use a small thin blade spoon on the surface. 20-30 fish in a few hours is not unusual. However, they all seem to be about 1 inch too small to keep. Also watch out for the wind in the afternoon. Like most mountain lakes it starts whipping up about 11 AM and can be a ***** to try to get back where youstarted.

Tom, are you sure about the camping? Sno. County PUD has never allowed overnight camping there before.
