Hows the sky look right now?? If the water is up is it fishable and what size corkies are you using? Also what color jigs for this time of year?
Thanks in advance Kris

Kris,
Was on the water from 4am-4pm today. Water came down very fast after opener and is now on a slow drop with atleast 4+ feet vis. Go with a medium/small corkie(10-12) and 1/8oz jigs.... 1/4oz early and late. Keep the colors subdued.

Fishing has been very slow, but if you have some favorite rocks to throw behind, you just might be suprised ;\)

Oh yeah, spoons might work

You can always check the river levels online at
http://waterdata.usgs.gov/wa/nwis/rt
At 5:30pm tonight it was 6300cfs. It can be fishable up to 10,000cfs.

Check here http://waterdata.usgs.gov/wa/nwis/uv/?station=12134500 , but remember it's high in the a. m. and drops gradually after a warm previous day. It may be mpre consistant tomorrow after today's cooler temps.

Picked up a big (8-9lbs) Dolly yesterday, but nothing else seen or touched. Hooked it backbouncing a sandshrimp tail with a small pink pearl corkie.

We hit the Sky today from 6am to noon and picked up 3 chrome hatchery kings, released of course and didnt touch a steelie. Only fish we saw caught were in our boat. I would say vis was 2-3 feet and traffic moderate. River dropping and high but good color.

It appears the number of steelies are on the decline each year on the Sky. \:\(
I just can't figure out why we can't have same quality steelhead fishery as they do on the OP coastal rivers.
