I am interested in knowing if any here have tried the Pflueger Trion rods for salmon/steelhead? Would like to know what you think of them.

Same with the St. Crioux Wild River series rods.

I haven't tried those but I just read an ad that Gart Sports has 25% off lowest marked price on all Lamiglas rods starting today. I don't know what their selection is though.

Based on past experience, Gart Sports does not carry very many Lamiglas rods. If you're really keen on getting one you might want to camp out and await the opening of the store. You can be sure that it won't take very long for those Lamis to fly off the racks.

Make sure if they don't have the rod you want, ask if they can order it at the 25% off. I got a great deal on a Lamiglas for my wife from GI Joes last Xmas by doing that.

I have soem of the one piece wild River rods that I use for plugging. Like them better for plugging than the Avid because they are a bit slower. Have some Avid spinning and baitcasting rods that I love. Good rods.
