I would like to try running plugs this coming year. What are some suggested sizes/colors for salmon/steelhead?

Really depends on where and what. For me, over here on the upper Columbia for Springers and summer salmon, it's K-14, K-15 Kwikfish in any color so long as it's chartreuse and silver. In Drano lake (and the rest of the Columbia) for springers, the darkest orange Wiggle Wart or Brad's or Fatfish you can find. Pink works nicely too.

And you'll get 20 other different opinions. \:\)

Mag warts on the lower chehalis, (orange, red with black back, silver with black back, silver with red back or pink). On the smaller rivers, use simaler colors in wiggle warts or tad pollys.

I've had good luck with green and blue/silver hotshots fishing a drop sinker in deep slower holes.
