I am going up to try the N.Fork of the Stilly this weekend. I have never been there, so I was wondering if anyone had some advice on some good spots to start out on. I will be flyfishing and was wondering if anyone has had any luck. Any information could be a PM and will be greatly appreciated.

There are numerous popular places to fish the NF between Cicero and Fortson. How to find the popular and good fishing holes? Same as most places. Look for parked angler rigs along and off the road.

I haven't fished there in years, so I have no up-to-date report. I crossed the main Stilly on I-5 today, and the height looked normal for this time of year. I'd recommend checking the USGS gage first, however. The warm weather could cause it to go out. If so, fish as high upstream as you can get. The water will be clearer up there.

This early in the season, I think fishing winter run style will draw more strikes than summer style.
