If it is anything like Pt Defiance take a lot of gear. There are fish out there, I took out 15 leaders and went through them all in two hours of fishing, Dog fish after dog fish after dog fish, I refuse to by leaders so in I came. I had a dog fish bite on the way down., I even caught one dogfish and another one followed him up. It was a nice day out there with the other 200 boats.

Pt. Defiance is always that crowded, why even bring a boat, just walk from boat to boat till you find room to sit down! The dogfish problem bothers me a little, but my ten year old will be psyched to catch sharks, lol.

Hit Devil's head, Anderson island, and trolled up to Ketron, didnt hit any fish. A few boats out on Friday, dont look good for us in 13 yet. Sounds like Pt. Defience might be the ticket. My son was happy, he got two dogfish, and I jigged up a few flounder, that was it.

Yes, we marked some baitfish in the rips near Lyle pt. , but didnt see any fish hitting them. Also, there were millions of young herring jumping around on the surface at Lyle, and across from Lyle along the shore running up to Ketron. These herring were anywhere from 1-4" in length, but werent balling up as if being chased, they appeared to be feeding themselves. Also, there were a bunch of jellyfish just below the surface which caused some issues, as well as, and i'm not kidding here, over25 sealions or seals in the Anderson area! I remember when we first fished this area some 25 years ago, there were no sealions or seals. We need a season on these guys as well, no limit.
