Got the seats installed! They even match. I need to do a bit of work on the rest of the upholstery, but they are in great condition!


I'll get the seat boxes upholstered this winter when I redo the rest of the boat.

What? The wife didn't approve camo seat covers

Did the Hillbilly sell them to you or redo the covers on your old ones? Do the seats fold down to lie on? Was it cheaper to redo em or just buy news ones? I may be in the market for some of those myself. Camo would be cool. heh heh Thanx alot

I bought his old seats and made the seat boxes myself. They do lie down. Two sets of back-to-backs run about $350 to $500, including bases. Mine cost me $100 plus wood I already had, $10. The upholstery will cost me about $20. Much cheaper than buying new, especially for a 16 year old boat.

The rest of the boat will be redone professionally this winter when I don't need to use it. Doing stuf yourself saves a lot. If I bought everything new I would have one boat. Fixing up neglected boats mean that I have 5. Working on my sixth, a sled.

Hey nice new seats DogFish. You have to love upgrades like that in the boat. I put in new seats in my little 16 footer a year ago and it was a great investment. I'll bet you put in a fair amount of time at Seiku on those seats this summer, money well spent!
