Had a fun 4th, and 3rd too!

Went down to Vader yesterday and spent the afternoon fishing the Chehalis for Springers. No fish to be found, but had fun.

Then, my step-daughter and her husband put on a whale of a fireworks show (about 2 hrs. worth!).

Tonight, my daughter and wife and I BBQ'd some steaks, and did up a few fireworks at the local park. Too many trees (Big 'uns) on our place to take dumb chances.

Got custody of my daughter a week ago, and she has been living in Canada all of her life...yesterday and today were her first "real" American 4th of July. At 13, it was quite a treat for her to light off fireworks.

My only concern was that a lot of tarheels were lighting off fireworks that were landing in the river...sure hope those chemicals don't harm the fish.
