I've fished the lower Sky on Monday.
A lots of boat traffic.
No fish to speak of.
I got a jack Chinook and another boat landed a small summer hatchery steelie.
Everyone else got zippo.
Sky is pretty much dead water now, I think.

It isnt a total loss.
At least you can go work on your tan, drink a few beers, work on your presentation, and make sure your gear works right for when you go fish a river with fish in it.

Hey Sky-Guy,

Already got tanned.
Drank few beers.
My presentation is perfect.
All my gears are working flawlessly.
Now, I'm ready to play in rivers with many fish in it! \:D
So, Cow is the one I need to check out, ehy.
Do you want to hook up with me to take my Lavro down there?
I don't know the river but I think you can show me the river and put in and take out...

i have fished the sky 15-18 times this year and the fish are in the water! i have limited out two and have cought only one steelhead i prefer early morning fishing and that is it. i am usually on the mouth of the wallace by 3:00 and i leave about 8:00. the only thing that has worked is eggs. i got the steelhead on a jigg just laying it on the bottom.and lifting the tip of the pool every one or two min. the eggs i check often and only let it sit for 2-3 min. i have hooked into atleast five fish and lost them all

Summer, sorry to have not responded to your PM yet. If only I had the time. I would.
If things settle down at work and personally I will take you up on that. Most of my fishing right now is last minute.

I have fished the sky 19 times since the opening and only put 3 kings in the box and no steelhead. Kings were 7, 8, and 25 lbs. Lots of hours for only 3 fish.

Fished the bubble 3 times and have had no hits and saw no fish caught. Got back to the dock last Monday at 8:30am and talked to an old timer that had a nice 20 lber. Says he's been out twice with two fish. I guess 25 years expericnce makes a difference.

I've fished the sky seemingly almost daily and the results have been unbelievably poor. No explanation. The water is and has been ideal for weeks. Almost a carbon copy of last year. By the third week in June (last year) I was hitting fish at an alarming rate. This year, well, not nearly as many as last. So pathetic in fact that I considered taking up a new sport. If anybody remembers it being this poor into July in the last 5 years, or better...let me know

Well it is good to hear that nobody else is catching anything on the Sky for a while there I was thinking I was doing soemthing wrong what a relief I was changing everything I waas doing changing presentations. Using more bait less bait big jigs small jigs. I have not heard of any limits at all on the Sky this year I know a lot of people that fish the sky and are really good anglers. The mouth of the wallace isnt the same any more the fish dont hold there anymore they shoot straight thru now the floods made that area at least 7 to 10 feet shallower. The sand bar stretches out quite a ways and I have fished there a few times this year havent seen anything roll and I saw one fish caught there this year and it was like a 7lb chinook the mouth is a waste of time now. I just wonder if the silvers will still use it to hold or if they are going run straight like the kings.

well i got another mark to add to my notch of skunks on the sky. Atleast im not the only one.I should be hitting the cow or something better but i think ill stick it out for a few more trips. So are there any bank spots i should be hitting that would be more productive than cracker bar? Ill try the wallace mouth tomarrow.
thanks kris

Hey Kris pm me and I can tell you of some spots to go to. Wallace is useless the floods totally filled in that hole there is no point of fishing there anymore. Actually the floods filled in a lot of hole that used to be good on the Sky. Just pm me and I can tell you a couple of places to go. I am still 0 for 0 but I have seen a few fish rising in the areas I can tell you.

Never say die. The fish will show, it seems every year they are showing later and later. I hear Dennis Dicksens boy is doing well chucking bugs. I hope to get out there soon.
Peace

Yeah the Sky stinks. After the first couple of weeks, we haven't really touched anything.
