Does anyone have advice on a safe launch to get to this fishery?? I dont want to go 20 miles out but I really enjoy this type of fishery trolling the beach shoreline for kings. Any launches north of ocean shores with a relatively easy bar crossing? I am in a 16 foot arima...appreciate any suggestions north or south of ocean shores that might work. Grays Harbor??

D@mn I thought for sure this thread would be about trolling the beach for bikinis or something to that effect not another question about fishing \:D

Isn't there a launch at the boat basin in ocean shores? I don't remember for sure.

I went to a bass tournament at duck lake a couple months back and the oceanshores police ran me out of the boat launch at duck lake to sleep, so after driving around for awhile with my boat I stopped at another boat launch and just went to sleep, when I woke up it was a saltwater launch with pretty good facilities. its right by a few motels down down at the south end of the penninsula I imagine because I drove north a bit to get to the blast off. hope this helps.

there is a launch at ocean shores but you still have to cross the chehalis bar and if i remember correctly it is tuff to get out of there at low tide.

Only way to get out is out of westport or ocean shores.

We launch at Westport and follow the bouys out past 8. As soon as you turn North you will have to start looking out for crab pot floats. Other than that, it's a real eazy show up there. Just look for the other boats. It seemed like there were almost fifty trolling there yesterday morning and there were a few nice fish caught.
