All this talk of Sockeye fishing has convinced my friend and I to give it a
go in our kayaks. Neither of us has fished Lake Washington before, so I'm
requesting a little assistance from this panel of experts!

Where do you recommend we launch?
We really just need a parking space close to public beach access. Can you
think of any good fishing spots that are within close paddling distance of a Park or good beach access. A friend at work suggested we park at Sewerd Park (by I 90) and fish the point of the park. ? (a hole off the point?)

How much line should I put between my crescent-lead and my size 0 Dodger?

I hope you have a tall bike flag for your kayak. Bring an air horn too. Lots of people, not many paying attention.

Jeff, I would suggest putting in at the Rainer beach launch just because you can get right into the fish without having to paddle a ways. Hopefully Erndog or Fishslayer can tell you where he caught all the fish in that area before you get out there, but it wasnt too far from the launch. If you put in anywhere else you might have a rough day getting into fish.

Only need 3-4 feet of leader between that lead and flasher.

I recommend launching at Mathew's Beach just north of Sand Point. That area is fairly free of boat traffic and protected from weather too. If your serious, send me an email and I'll give ya all the info. you'll need to get your limit of sockeye.

I got two from my kayak last Saturday. I put in at the park at the mouth of the Cedar and paddled north from there.

I don't know why people are so concerned about kayaks. A good sea kayak in experienced hands is a lot more seaworthy than a lot of the boats out there.
