with something that yahoo's scanner identifies as W32.Beagle.AG@mm. McAfee identifies it as a version of the bagle virus.
I got two emails yesterday from a member of the board (that does NOT have my addy in his address book), so someone out there (probably with both of us in their address book) is running unprotected and scattering this worm to the four corners of the earth. Tsk, tsk.
I know that AV's off the shelf can be expensive, but for the price of two months internet access you can protect yourself AND all your friends in your address book. There are also some pretty decent freebies out there from what I've heard, but I haven't used them.
Let's be careful out there!

free virus scanning software here: AVG: Free anti-virus software I use the free version. This thing blows the expensive ones away, IMO.

I second the recommendation of Grisoft's AVG AntiVirus. It's free and works extremely well!

I'm a computer and networking tech and the best antivirus i've found is EZ Antivirus from computer associates. http://WWW.MY-ETRUST.COM. They have a 30 day trial and you won't be dissapointed.

Wow, I leave town for a few days and get slammed with messages infected with netsky. Five in the last two days, to be exact. I don't recognize any of the "sent from" user names this time, though.
Mike C, I have no doubt that the messages I'm receiving weren't sent from the computer with the return addy that shows up. Mail worms almost always use addys from an address bookfor the "sent from".
