The seas were a little rough, but overall, it was really good fishing. One reccomendation, if you breakdown, don't go to a mexican restuarant while your waiting for a new tow vehicle. The tequila will get you the next day. We wanted to go farther out to get more King action, but ended up staying close and catching silvers. It turned out to be a pretty good ratio of clipped to wild fish. The fish were also pretty good sized too. We also got some nice sized lings and bottom fish as well. Thanks again to stlhdh2o for putting up with us . It was nice that you lived SO CLOSE and we didn't have to camp with the masses. We WILL be up there again shortly. Save me a couch. \:D Lets hear some fish stories kids.

Here's my report:

Great for coho Saturday. When you have five limits to get out of the boat it makes it hard work, but fun. Ten coho, five to eleven pounds. They are definitely getting bigger out there!!

Sunday was tougher fishing, but I did hook my first keeper ling ever...about a fifteen pounder....and got some good intel for whoever I go out with next time.....maybe.

Anyone who knows where the kings are right now feel free to post about it.

Hope we can do it again soon BB!

Fished Thur and Friday, drove all night got to the bay at 3 am and launched at 4. Luckily some other crazy cats from Gig Harbor got me pumped to not go to sleep as they drove all night as well...took about 20 minutes to get the first hook up and it was steady eddy on 5-15 lb fish for the next two days. Hit one VERY big king right at dark mooching, about tore the rod out of my hand. In fact slammed the rod so hard into the boat/antenna that he got some slack and it was all over in a matter of seconds. That 5 second memory will keep me coming back for sure! Biggest landed king was around 15 lbs and tons of shaker kings and BIG native silvers. Found hatchery silvers Thur and natives Friday. Was there to test my 16 foot arima in some bigger water and damn that little boat is seaworthy, wont go past Tatoosh but really dont need to as the fishing was very good in tight. Awesome place!
